In these drawings I am looking at using wire mesh for making the birds and how it actually works as a surface pattern.

 

For the children's section I plan to make playful, simplified and colourful birds.

These more stylised paintings/drawings are looking at the birds as three dimensional models in situ. I like the idea of the models hanging from thread as though they are taking off.
